The device (also called the media player) is either online or offline. Online means the device is connected to the internet and can reach our digital signage cloud. Offline means the device is not connected to the internet and therefore cannot connect to our digital signage cloud.

How do I find out why my device is offline?
If your device is offline, check the following:
- Is the Play Digital Signage app running?
Yes: if the app is running, continue to the next step.
No: if the app is not running, please launch the app.
- Is the device connected to your wifi?
Yes: if the device is connected to your wifi, check whether the device has access to the internet. To do this, close our app > open a browser (on the device itself) > type playsignage.com in the address bar and press Enter.
If you see our website, some services are most likely blocked in your network. Please refer to Whitelisting.
If you do not see our website, the device has no connection to the internet. Keep in mind that a device can be connected to wifi, even though it’s not connected to the internet. In this scenario, you have to check up on your wifi network.
No: if the device is not connected to your wifi, connect it so the device can reach the internet.
Where do I set up wifi on the device?
Wifi is set up in the device’s operating system (OS). It is different from device to device: Android, Amazon, Google, etc. all have their own ways. Go to YouTube.com and search for, for example, How to set up wifi on Android.
I’ve tried everything, what should I do?
If you’re having problems getting wifi or internet working on your device, we recommend you reset the device to factory settings and start from scratch. Reset to factory is usually found in the device settings.
After a factory reset, you’ll need to remove your screen in my.playsignage.com and then link it again once you’ve reinstalled the app.
