The AI Image feature in Play Digital Signage allows you to generate high-quality, custom images directly inside the editor — perfect for backgrounds, visuals, illustrations, or any content you need for your screens.
Get Started
- Open any slide in the editor.
- Click Generate with AI (on the right, in the slide settings).
- A window will appear where you can:
- Type a detailed description of the image you want (text-to-image).
- Click Enhance Prompt to automatically improve your description for better results.
- Choose your preferred aspect ratio (landscape, portrait, square, etc.).
- Click Generate — the AI will create the image in seconds.
Once generated, the image appears in the overview below. Hover over any image to access three options:
- Preview the image
- Add to Slide directly
- Modify Image with AI to make further changes
All generated images are automatically saved in your Media Library, so you can reuse them across any slides and playlists.
Important Information About Generations
- Each image you generate counts as one generation.
- Weekly generation limits:
- Essential plan: 5 generations per week
- Pro plan: 10 generations per week
- Ultimate plan: 20 generations per week

Disable all AI features
A team option in your team settings: hide AI image generation and modification from everyone on this team. Team owners and super admins can turn it on.

Can I turn off AI Image for my team?
Yes. A team owner or super admin can turn on Disable all AI features in your team settings. AI image generation and modification is then hidden from everyone on the team.
Can I edit an image I created with AI?
Yes. Click Generate with AI, find the image, and then click Modify Image with AI.
I see a notification saying I have no more generations for this week?
Yes, that means you have used this week’s generations. New generations are added every week; how many depends on your plan (Essential 5, Pro 10, Ultimate 20 per week).
