Music in your digital signage content

Background Music

Add music to your digital signage playlists or individual slides to create the right mood for any setting. Background music keeps your screens engaging, enhances ambiance, and helps deliver a complete customer experience.

The Background Music feature in Play lets you bring your screens to life with sound. Easily add music to an entire playlist for a consistent vibe, or tailor the audio for specific slides to match different messages or moods. Whether you want upbeat tunes in a retail space, calm ambience in a lobby, or custom themes for promotions, background music helps shape the atmosphere your audience feels. With flexible setup options and full integration into Play Signage, it’s never been easier to manage and play audio across your displays.

The Background Music plugin lets you add continuous audio to your digital signage screens — whether it's ambient music, branded soundtracks, motivational tracks, or subtle background audio — to create a more engaging and immersive experience for your audience.

Sure, you can add Live Streaming Radio or local files from your library. Check out this article, Live Streaming Radio

What type of audio files does Playlists in Digital Signage support?

We recommend using .mp3, however, .wav .ogg .m4a, and .flac files are also supported, but converted to .mp3

Can I pause the audio for some slides that have videos?

Yes, once you have added some background soundtracks, there is an additional option available in the slide settings. To find this setting, open the slide for which you want to pause the music. Open slide settings (the page where you’d change slide duration) and click on the “Advanced” section.
