With the Unsplash plugin, you can search for photos on unsplash.com and add them to your digital signage content.
All the photos from Unsplash that you use in your digital signage content are royalty-free, so you don’t have to worry about who owns the rights. Photos you find on Google or elsewhere on the internet may be protected and therefore not free to use.
The plugin is similar to Klipy and Pixabay.
Get Started
Add Unsplash to a slide
- Open the playlist and the slide where you want Unsplash
- Click Plugins in the top toolbar
- Search for Unsplash in the Add Plugin window, and click the Unsplash tile
- Click Unsplash on the canvas to select it, and set it up in the settings on the right (see Options below)
- Click Publish

Assign a slide that is played when the user clicks or taps on the image. It works like the Button plugin.
FAQ
Why is the photo scaled down?
The original photos are very high resolution, as they are taken by professional photographers, whereas the most common digital signage setup is Full HD, so we optimize images for that. If you’re using a 4K setup and absolutely must have 4K resolution images, you can download the photos in original resolution and upload them to the library.
What is rate exceed?
Unsplash has to manage demand, so third-party applications (like ours) are limited to 5,000 search queries per hour. If the limit is exceeded, the search will not work again until the next full hour starts. This does not affect images already added to the slide or published to players, only searching for new photos is affected.
