After the Facebook Post and Facebook Photo plugins, version 1.14 adds two more social plugins to your toolbox, and a library of free photos right inside the editor.

Instagram Photo

Instagram Photo shows the posts from your Instagram page on your screens: colourful, live content that keeps people looking. It uses the same image rotator you know from the Facebook photo grid, with even more options to make it your own.

Instagram Hashtag

Not posting on Instagram every day? Instagram Hashtag shows photos based on hashtags instead. Add up to five, for your business, your products or your event. A motorcycle shop could show #motorcycle, or brands like #harleydavidson and #yamaha.

Free photos from Unsplash

Can’t find the right picture for your content? Unsplash is one of the best places on the internet for free, high-quality photos, and now you can use them straight from the editor:

  1. Click Unsplash at the top of the editor.
  2. Search for something, for example “coffee”.
  3. Pick a photo.
  4. Adjust the size if needed.

Unsplash photos you’ve used before are kept in your library, in the Unsplash photos folder.

A better library

  • Select several files at once.
  • Move files from one folder to another.
  • New file formats: WebP, BMP, Excel files (Microsoft, Apple and OpenOffice formats), zip and EPS. See the supported file formats.

Android: request the desktop version of websites

Some websites show their mobile version on Android players. With the new Request desktop site setting in the Android app, the player asks for the desktop version of the pages you show with the Website plugin.

What’s in version 1.14

  • Added the Instagram Photo plugin
  • Added the Instagram Hashtag plugin
  • Added a royalty-free image library
  • Added selecting multiple files
  • Added the Random quote plugin
  • Added moving items from one folder to another
  • Added remote clearing of the cache on most players
