Version 1.13 of Play Digital Signage brings a native app for Android, two plugins that keep your screens interesting, and faster clocks and counters.
Native Android app
Play now runs as a native app on Android. That opens up a large choice of affordable media players, from Android TV boxes to sticks that plug straight into the TV. A native app also gets more out of the device than a browser does, for smoother playback.

On This Day
The On This Day plugin shows interesting facts about what happened on today’s date in history. Show the most recent events or let the plugin pick events at random. The facts come from Wikipedia’s day pages.
Quote of the Day
The Quote of the Day plugin gives viewers something new to read every day. Pick from categories such as humorous quotes or quotes about perfection.
Both plugins update themselves, so your screens keep changing without any work from you.
Smaller improvements
- The counter and digital clock plugins are optimised and use less of the player’s power.
