Product Update, October 11, 2024: Upload Queue and SuperAdmin Role

Published on by Lars Normark Andersen

This update makes uploading smoother and gives large teams a new role.

Uploads in a queue

Files uploaded to the library are now processed in a queue. Upload many files, or very large ones, at once, and Play handles them one by one instead of all together:

  • No slowdowns when you upload a lot at once.
  • Fewer failed uploads.
  • You can follow how far each file is.

New role: SuperAdmin

Teams now have a SuperAdmin role, between Admin and Owner. A SuperAdmin can do everything an admin can, and can also manage other admins, billing and the team’s high-level settings. Only transferring ownership of the team is left to the owner. That gives a large organisation a central administrator, without handing over the team itself.

See what each role can do in the Teams guide.

What’s in this update

  • Files uploaded to the library are processed in a queue
  • New role, SuperAdmin (Teams)
