The first update of 2026 brings video with see-through backgrounds, and a search that finds every playlist.
Transparent video
Video can now be transparent, using the WebM format with a transparent background. Anything behind the video shows through. Use it for:
- an animated logo on top of a photo or menu
- moving characters or products without a box around them
- effects like snow, confetti or sparkles over your other content
Export the video as WebM with transparency (also called an alpha channel) from your video or animation tool, upload it, and place it on your slide like any other video.
Playlist search looks everywhere
Search on the playlist page in the web portal now looks through all your folders, instead of only filtering the playlists you’re looking at. Type a name and find the playlist, wherever it is.
