Product Update, March 27, 2018: Teams and Roles

Published on by Justas Ažna

Icon of three people

Version 1.08 of Play Digital Signage brings a much-requested feature: Teams.

Teams help most when a digital signage installation covers several locations and many people. You share the work of managing screens and creating content with your colleagues, and give each of them the access they need, no more.

Three roles

Every team member has one of three roles:

  • Member is the basic role, typically for designers and people who create content. Members can upload files and design playlists.
  • Admin can do everything a member can, and can also link screens and manage screen alerts. An admin is typically the person responsible for the screens at one location.
  • Owner has full access, including billing. There is one owner per team.

You’ll find the full description of each role on the team page, under the profile menu.

Sharing single playlists still works

If you only want a colleague to work on one playlist, you can still share just that playlist with them, without adding them to your team. Read more in the Teams guide.
