Version 1.07 of Play Digital Signage is out, with two new features: Slide Stash and Alerts.
Slide Stash: save slides for later
You often put a lot of effort into beautiful content for your screens. What if you want to save it, reuse it, or move it to another playlist?
With Slide Stash you can. Open any playlist, open your stash and drag a slide into it. Slides in the stash can be used in other playlists or kept for later. To use one, drag it from the stash back into a playlist.
Some ways to use it:
- Keep seasonal slides, like a holiday greeting, until next year.
- Park a slide you’re still working on, so it doesn’t play yet.
- Move slides from one playlist to another without rebuilding them.
Alerts: know when a screen goes offline
If you manage screens in several places, you’ll want to know when one stops working before your customers do. With alerts, you choose which screens to watch and how long a screen may be offline before you’re told.
When a screen has been offline for longer than that, you get an e-mail, and another when it comes back online. Alerts can go to one or more e-mail addresses, so the person on site hears about it too.
