Product Update, June 16, 2024: Kiosk Mode for Raspberry Pi

Published on by Sander Sink

Icon of a padlock

This update brings kiosk mode to Raspberry Pi, analytics for website slides, and a clear sign when something isn’t published yet.

Kiosk mode on Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi players can now run in kiosk mode: the device is locked to Play and nothing else. That means:

  • No pop-ups or other apps getting in the way.
  • Nobody can wander off into other parts of the system.
  • Ideal for unattended screens in stores, offices and public spaces.

It makes the Raspberry Pi an even more reliable and affordable player.

Analytics for website slides

Analytics now also records when slides with the Website plugin play. See how often web content was shown, alongside your images and videos.

Yellow publish button

The publish button now turns yellow when a playlist has changes that aren’t published yet. No more wondering why a screen still shows the old version.

What’s in this update

  • Kiosk mode on Raspberry Pi
  • Analytics records Website plugin playback
