One of the cornerstones of Play Digital Signage is simple and transparent pricing model. In this article, you’ll find everything you need to know about Play Digital Signage pricing.

Free screen

Everybody gets one screen for free – that means one screen can be linked to your account at any time. If you wish to try out different platforms, you can remove the screen and link another screen. Starting from second screen, the service costs 16 EUR18 USD26 AUD28 NZD14 GBP per screen.

The free screen is granted to a team (usually an organisation/company), not to every user/employee of that team.

Charged per hour

We start charging for screens starting on your second screen. We are fans of “pay what you use” policy and designed our billing system around this principle (also known as metered billing). Behind the scenes, the billing calculator measures how many hours each screen was linked to your account. That means you can link a screen with your account only for one hour, and you’ll be charged only for one hour as well.

Here is an example invoice of a customer who has 2 screens and links 3rd screen mid-month. The invoice outlines exactly the usage of what he pays for and deducts the free screen.

In other words: If you link a screen for 30 hours, we won’t charge you for full month usage, just the 30 hours you actually used the screen, nothing more!

Please note: The system charges you for the screen from the moment you link it to your account to the moment you unlink (remove) the screen from your account.

Invoice based billing

If your organization can not use credit cards, you can contact us via our live chat or [email protected] to request invoicing instead. Invoicing however works differently than credit card billing. While with credit card billing we measure accurate usage one month back in time, invoicing works for fixed amount of screens. 

  • Payment plans are prepaid quarterly, half-year or yearly.
  • We invoice a fixed amount of screens regardless of how many screens are actually linked with account.
  • We have created local bank accounts in USD, EUR, AUD, GBP and NZD so making payments would be cheaper and easier for you.
  • We accept wires, bank transfer or check
  • It’s also possible to pay for the invoices with credit card (this would be then prepaid subscription with credit card)

This answer is only applicable for credit-card billing starting from second screen (first screen is for free).

On average a month has 720 hours (24 hours * 30 days).
With a screen price of 16€ per month, the hourly price comes down to 16€ / 720 ≈ 0.02€ / hour.

Example: If you link a second screen for 24 hours, you will be charged for 24 * 0.02€ ≈ 0.5€.

Do you have discounts for non-profits? 

We offer better pricing for all non-profit organizations, to apply you need to do the following:

  • Update your billing information.
  • Send e-mail to [email protected] with following information:
    • Your 504C form. (If you’re not located in US, any other documentation/certification that would prove non-profit status)
    • How many screens you plan to have.
    • Preferred payment cycle (monthly / quarterly / bi-annually / annually) – in case you want invoice based billing (credit card billing is done on a monthly basis only).

Billing

Our billing system keeps track of how many screens you have and for how long time those screens have been linked in a billing cycle.

What to expect?

Every first day of month we run our billing for all credit cards customers. We send out a PDF invoice to the recipients you have registered on your accounts billing page. Same day as you receive the our invoice we charge your credit card using Stripe (Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1 which is the highest grade of payment processing security. You can rest assured that your information is safe and secure.) Keep in mind, when using a credit card you are post paying for the services for previous month.

If you are not using credit card you will be invoiced every 3, 6 or 12 months. We send out a PDF invoice to the recipients you have registered on your accounts billing page. Payment can be made using a credit card (Go to billing and hit pay), WIRE, Check or International bank transfer.

I get the notice “duplicate screen”?

What happens if my card is declined?

When we invoice you, last day of the month, we charge your credit card. If the payment does not go through we try again on the 3. day and then again on the 6. day. If none of the attempts worked we will reach out to you to resolve the issue. If the issue does not get resolved we block the account and remove any screens added to the account.

Do you charge me if my screens are in the Standby group?

Our system invoice the number of linked screens, so if you have 10 linked screens we invoice you 9 screens (One if free). Keep in mind that even though your screen is in the Standby group it’s still linked and we will invoice the screen. Same goes for screens that are offline, if the the screen is linked to your account we will invoice it or them.

How do I suspend invoicing?

You need to delete a screen to remove it from your invoicing. Keep in mind that we charge per the hour, so if you remove a screen half way in a month we only charge half a month. More about pricing: Charged per hour

My screens have been offline for month, can you credit me?

You should know that all screens linked to your account will be invoiced, even though your screens are offline. It is your responsibility to make sure the invoice is sent to the appropriate recipients and that there is actions taken on the invoices we send out. You are always welcome to reach out at [email protected], but we usually do not credit screens already invoiced.
