One of the cornerstones of Play Digital Signage is simple and transparent billing.
Billing
We are fans of the “pay what you use” policy and designed our billing system around this principle (also known as metered billing). Behind the scenes, the billing calculator measures how many hours each screen was linked to your account. That means you can link a screen with your account only for one hour, and you’ll be charged only for one hour as well.
Trial screens are not charged.
Here is an example invoice of a customer who has 2 screens and links 3rd screen mid-month. The invoice outlines exactly the usage of what he pays for.
The system charges you for the screen (s) from the moment you link it to your account to the moment you unlink (remove) the screen from your account.
Free Trial Screens
Everybody getsfree trial screens for testing – that means you can link screens to your account at any time. When you are ready to go live with your screens you simply upgrade them to production.
Payment Methods and Schedules
You can choose to pay with a credit card, wire, or international transfer. The payment methods depend on the chosen payment schedule.
Postpaid Billing
Postpaid means you are paying after a given billing period. This way we only charge you for the screens you had linked to your account in that billing period.
Every first day of the month we run our billing for all postpaid customers. We send out a PDF invoice to the recipients you have registered on your accounts billing page.
The available payment method is Credit Card. The available payment schedule is Monthly. The available payment terms are 0 days. The available currency is USD, AUD, CAD, NZD, GBP, and EUR.
Credit Card
The same day as you receive our invoice we charge your credit card using Stripe (Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1 which is the highest grade of payment processing security. You can rest assured that your information is safe and secure.) Keep in mind, that when using a credit card you are paying for the services used in the previous month.
Prepaid Billing
As the name suggests, the prepaid plan means purchasing screens for the future, this means making a longer-term commitment to a fixed amount of screens.
We invoice a fixed amount of screens regardless of how many screens are actually linked with the account.
The available payment method is Credit Card, Wire (US), or International Transfer. The available payment schedule is Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly. The available payment terms are 7 days (Monthly), 14 days (Quarterly), and 30 days (Yearly).

When you click Calculate, you will see your new price per screen.
What happens if my card is declined?
When we invoice you, on the last day of the month, we charge your credit card. If the payment does not go through we try again on the 3. day and then again on the 6. day. If none of the attempts worked we would reach out to you to resolve the issue. If the issue does not get resolved we block the account and remove any screens added to the account.
Do you charge me if my screens are in the Standby group?
Our system invoice the number of linked screens, so if you have 10 linked screens we invoice you 10 screens. Keep in mind that even though your screen is in the Standby group it’s still linked and we will invoice the screen. The same goes for screens that are offline, if the screen is linked to your account we will invoice it or them.
My screens have been offline for a month, can you credit me?
You should know that all screens linked to your account will be invoiced, even though your screens are offline. It is your responsibility to make sure the invoice is sent to the appropriate recipients and that there are actions taken on the invoices we send out. You are always welcome to reach out at [email protected], but we usually do not credit screens already invoiced.
How do I delete my credit card?
There are two things you need to pay attention to before being able to delete your credit card. You need to delete the screens in the account and then wait until the billing period is over.
Can I update my credit card?
Yes, go to the billing page and update your credit card.
How do I suspend invoicing?
You need to delete a screen to remove it from your invoicing. Keep in mind that we charge per hour, so if you remove a screen halfway through a month we only charge half a month.
