General Questions

These are the answers to a few general questions that we get often.

Yes! Play Digital Signage, Inc., is incorporated in the United States of America and our headquarters are in Las Vegas, Nevada.

More than a decade ago, we decided to stick with what we are best at, which is building a powerful, feature-rich digital signage software we know you’ll love. Since we focus our energy on creating the best digital signage software, we don’t sell digital signage hardware like TVs and digital signage media players, but we do recommend what player would best fit your project and we do partner with excellent digital signage hardware companies.

To make our digital signage software easy and flexible for you, we support all of the most popular operating systems. This includes Windows, Apple OS, Android, Google, FireOS (Amazon FireTV), BrightSign, Linux, and smart TVs from Samsung, Sony, and LG.

The short answer is no, you do not have to use the Play Digital Signage content editor. If you prefer to design your digital signage content outside of Play Digital Signage with a third-party content editor, you can do so and simply import it into your library on your Play Digital Signage account. However, our digital signage content editor has some pretty cool features, so we would recommend you check it out before paying for a third-party editor especially if you are looking to save some time and money!

Since our support team is spread around the world, covering America, Asia, and Europe, we only offer support via Live Chat. This enables us to give you support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Live Chat is manned with real people 100% of the time, so while you can’t call, there is a highly trained, real person ready to help you at any time. With that being said, if you are an enterprise client, you may have a service agreement giving you access to support in other ways.

Questions About Pricing, Billing, & Terms

Let’s talk about all things concerning pricing, billing, and terms with Play Digital Signage.

Yes, we do offer a discount for non-profit organizations! To get your discount as a non-profit organization, we’ll just need to see your 501c form. We know that form is specific to the U.S., so if you are not located in the U.S., any documentation or certification you have to show your non-profit status will work as long as it is written in English.

On average, a month has 720 hours (24 hours * 30 days). With a screen price of $18 per month, the hourly price comes down to $0.025 per hour ($18 per month/720 hours in a month = $0.025/hour). For example: If you link a screen for 24 hours, you will be charged $0.60 (24 hours * $0.025 per hour = $0.60).

Here at Play Digital Signage, we accept all major credit cards, ACH, wire transfers, international wire transfers for those outside of the U.S., and checks.

When we invoice you on the last day of the month, we charge your credit card. If the payment does not go through we try again on the third day and then again on day six. If none of these three attempts go through, we will reach out to you to resolve the issue. However, if the issue does not get resolved, it is our policy to block the account and remove any screens that have been added to the account.

Our system invoices the number of linked screens, so if you have 10 linked screens, we will invoice you for the 10 screens. Keep in mind that even though your screen is in the Standby Group, it is still linked, so we will invoice the screen. The same goes for screens that are offline. Any screen that is linked to your account, whether in the Standby Group or offline, will be invoiced.

It is our policy that all screens linked to your account will be invoiced, even if your screen is offline. It is your responsibility to ensure the invoice is sent to the appropriate recipients and that there are actions taken on the invoices we send out. If you have any questions regarding your invoice, you are always welcome to reach out at [email protected], but we do not usually provide credit on screens that are already invoiced.

We support USD, AUD, CAD, NZD, GBP, and EUR.

Yes! You can absolutely stop your Play Digital Signage subscription mid-month or whenever you would like for that matter. We have no handcuffs on our customers and since we bill usage per hour, your fee will only be for what you’ve actually used. For instance, if you had a screen linked for 100 hours in a month, we would only charge you for the 100 hours, not the entire month.

To change to prepaid billing, go to your billing page in your Play Digital Signage account. Ensure that you have filled out all of your billing information and then click “Change Subscription”. You will need to input how many screens you need, when you want the subscription to change, and if you would like to pay quarterly or yearly. When you click “Calculate”, you’ll see your new price per screen.

There are two things that you’ll have to do in order to be able to delete your credit card. Firstly, you’ll need to delete the screens linked to your account. Then, you’ll also need to wait until the billing period is over. Once these two things have been done, you can delete your credit card from your Play Digital Signage account.

Yes, to update your credit card, simply go to the billing page of your Play Digital Signage account and change any information that you need.

Invoicing can only be suspended by deleting a screen. So if you want to suspend invoicing entirely, all screens will need to be deleted from your account. Otherwise, you can suspend the invoice on individual screens by deleting the ones you are no longer using. Keep in mind that we charge per hour, so if you remove a screen halfway through a month, we only charge half a month.
