Pricing is always a determining factor in choosing a digital signage solution. SmartSign2Go Digital Signage has kept in mind that everyone has a different budget which is why they have three ways to purchase their services.

The first is to purchase their media players and service plans. This begins at $99 plus the cost of the service plan. You could also just purchase their service plan and bring your own media player and screen.

They have three service plans: the Essentials Plan at $23.50 per month for one player, the Advantage Plan at $32 per month for one player, and the Enterprise Plan at $43 per month for one player. Each of these prices increases with additional players and they all come with distinct features. The final option at SmartSign2Go Digital Signage is to purchase one of their complete packages which comes with an LG commercial display, a Smart Sign Player, and an initial design service. These packages start at $1,099.

There are not many others in the market that offer complete packages, so this is a good option for those looking to essentially hit add to cart and be done. Their service plans are right on par with other affordable solutions on the market as well.

Support

Support is always an essential element of any digital signage solution as you are bound to have some questions. SmartSign2Go Digital Signage has more support options than many others in the industry.

For support at SmartSign2Go Digital Signage, you can utilize their online knowledge base with startup guides and other resources, send them an email, call them, or even text them. They also offer free demonstrations which are very helpful to orient yourself to their software.

We were very pleased to see how many support options SmartSign2Go Digital Signage offers and that it does not come with a higher cost like with some of their competitors.

Content Development

With digital signage, it is all about the content. The content is what makes digital signage engaging, effective, and aesthetically pleasing, so it is always important that digital signage solutions offer content development features. With SmartSign2Go Digital Signage, the types of content you are able to utilize depends on the service plan you choose.

The Essentials Plan includes content development features such as social media and other app integrations, creation with Canva, and compatibility with Screenfeed, a service that provides automatically updated curated content on the topic of your choice. For instance, you could have it display sports news and it will curate sports news and display it on your screen with automatic updates.

However, keep in mind that content development with Screenfeed and even sometimes Canva can incur additional costs. The Advantage Plan gains you access to content features like audio/video app integrations, scheduling, and extended animations. Finally, the Enterprise Plan enables you to run 4K video, custom apps, touch support, and custom fonts.

Compatibility

Since there are three aspects to a digital signage setup– the screen, the media player, and the software, it is important that they can all “talk” to each other in order to display your content correctly. This is where compatibility matters.

With SmartSign2Go Digital Signage, you can use any screen or TV you would like and you have several options for media players. SmartSign2Go Digital Signage has three self-branded media players called the Sign Player Lite, a Raspberry PI-based player, Sign Player Pro, which is a Beelink T4 Pro, and the Sign Player Ultra, a Chromebox.

Additionally, you can bring your own player. If you opt for this route, you’ll need to choose a player that runs on one of the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Mac, Chrome devices, Raspberry Pi, IAdea players, or Android.

In comparison to other digital signage solutions on the market, SmartSign2Go Digital Signage offers a good range of compatibility, which is a definite “pro”.

Teams

Unless you are a lone wolf when it comes to managing your digital signage, you’ll likely want others in the company to be able to help. This is where team functionality features come in handy.

We were surprised to see that it seems most team functionality has been reserved for Enterprise Plan clients with SmartSign2Go Digital Signage. Luckily, compared to others in the market, the Enterprise Plan with SmartSign2Go Digital Signage is relatively affordable. However, we do have to note that you can get team functionality features with basic, less expensive plans with other digital signage solutions.

If you intend to manage your digital signage yourself, this may not be a big deal, though if you have an entire marketing department behind you, some extra consideration may be required with this aspect.
