ScreenCloud Digital Signage is an integrative and template-rich alternative to Play Digital Signage, and is currently offering a 14-day free trial.
While ScreenCloud Digital Signage Digital Signage shares a few similarities with Play Digital Signage, the big differences could sway your preference towards one or the others. Now, let's dive into our experience with ScreenCloud Digital Signage Digital Signage, giving you the lowdown so you can figure out if it's the right match for your business and needs.
ScreenCloud Digital Signage isn’t the cheapest digital signage option, though it is not the most expensive either. Unlike Play Digital Signage, Screencloud has chosen to structure their pricing into three different plans, each of which comes with its own features.
Pricing begins at $20 per screen, per month for their Core plan. The core plan has the fewest number of features, but it does include unlimited file storage, app integrations, screen management, and professional support. If you are just getting started, the Core plan might work for you; however, the Pro plan in our opinion is a much better option as you get a lot more important features for just a $10 increase in price.
The Pro plan is $30 per month and includes everything from the Core plan plus features like premium app integrations, custom fonts, emergency alerts, and more. The only catch is that there is a minimum of 5 screens required.
The highest end option ScreenCloud Digital Signage offers is the Enterprise plan which comes with anything and everything ScreenCloud Digital Signage has to offer. It requires a minimum of 25 screens and you’ll have to reach out to their sales department for pricing.
Here at Play Digital Signage we offer a free trial, so we tend to be partial to other companies that offer one too. After all, who doesn’t want to try things out before pulling out your wallet! ScreenCloud Digital Signage offers a 14-day free trial of their Core plan.
Learn moreSupport is a big deal in the world of technology because we could all use a little help navigating new hardware and software. In terms of support, ScreenCloud Digital Signage does offer 24/5 live chat which means that it is available 24 hours a day on weekdays. ScreenCloud Digital Signage also has webinars, FAQs, phone support, email support, and videos to refer to.
We do appreciate that they are offering support options we can utilize at any time of day in addition to those on a set schedule. You never know when issues will strike, so this is a big plus in our book.
Learn moreThere are two methods for content development with ScreenCloud Digital Signage. For one, they have a content creation tool called Canvas. You can also upload your own content to a media library. ScreenCloud Digital Signage offers 150 free templates and supports Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive as well.
Though ScreenCloud Digital Signage does not have as many digital signage content creation features as some of their competitors, they have more than enough to curate dynamic digital signage.
Learn moreScreenCloud Digital Signage offers compatibility with a wide range of digital signage media players including FireOS, Android, Chrome, Windows, Mac, iOS, LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, BrightSign, and ScreenCloud players.
When it comes to operating systems, ScreenCloud Digital Signage is compatible with Amazon, Android, ChromeOS, MacOS, iOS, Windows, LG WebOS, BrightSign, and Tizen. This is pretty good compared to others in the digital signage market as they are compatible with all of the major names in the hardware game.
Learn moreWhen it comes to running your business, you might have a whole team of people that you delegate out responsibility to. Whether you are a solo show or have an entire marketing department behind you to help with your digital signage, we appreciate that ScreenCloud Digital Signage offers unlimited users and access to build teams.
This is a feature we offer here at Play Digital Signage, too, but we want to highlight the fact that ScreenCloud Digital Signage has included team functionality even in their Core package because not every company in the digital signage industry does.

More than 10 years, 2500+ organizations, and thousands of live screens is why we know we’re great at what we do.
At Play Digital Signage, we're all about getting hands-on to really understand how others in our industry offer a unique experience. That's why we sent a researcher from our team to test out each competitor as if they were looking to implement digital signage themselves. We’ve given you some of the details, but here's the more general scoop of what they found while checking out Screencloud.
Overall, testing ScreenCloud Digital Signage was a pleasant experience as their platform is user-friendly, intuitive, and straightforward. Its simplicity is where it shines.
For a small business looking to implement digital signage, Screencloud offers many integrations and templates that help you get started quickly. Screencloud also has a good range of compatibility allowing you to offset the slightly higher cost of their subscription plans with hardware that fits your budget which is some nice flexibility to have.
Some areas we thought could use improvement included their pricing structure. We felt the Core plan was missing some important features, so the majority of consumers will need the Pro plan. However, that creates somewhat of a problem if you do not need three screens. We could see this being a hurdle for those with small businesses that need the features of the Pro plan, but do not need at least 5 screens.
Despite this, ScreenCloud is definitely a contender for a mid-range digital signage solution. With a built-in content creation tool, features for teams, a wide range of compatibility, and a few different support options, ScreenCloud could be right for your business depending on your needs.
