Pricing

Pickcel Digital Signage has divided its pricing into three tiers– Professional, Business, and Enterprise. Each has its own unique features, though we do want to point out that even their lowest plan has the features that will be most important to the majority of businesses.

The Professional tier begins at $13.50 per device, per month and the next tier, the Business level, begins at $22.50 per device, per month. Enterprise clients have to contact a sales team and have more than 250 screens.

Pickcel Digital Signage does offer a 14-day free trial on their Professional and Business tiers which is nice to be able to sample the solution before committing to it.

Support

With the implementation of any new business solution, you are bound to have some questions. So how does Pickcel Digital Signage handle those? Well, Pickcel Digital Signage has a few options for support including live chat, email support, phone support, a knowledge base, and webinars. We tried contacting their live chat support, but we were unable to get a response in our testing.

Luckily, they have some backup support solutions. Our researchers did appreciate being able to answer their questions using the knowledge base and webinars at their own convenience and it is always nice to be able to call for more personalized support. However, please keep in mind that the Professional Plan only comes with email and chat support, while the Business Plan includes additional support features like on-call support and a dedicated relationship manager.

Content Development

Digital signage content development is one of the most important aspects of digital signage. After all, if your digital signage content isn’t engaging and dynamic, it won’t be as effective. One great feature of Pickcel Digital Signage is they have what they call “Artboard”, their content editing system, integrated so that you can use it to design your content. They also have free templates, an in-app image editor, and royalty-free media.

These things are included on their most basic plan, the Professional Plan. However, if you require 4K support, API access, and advance playlists, you’ll want to opt for at least the Business Plan. Additionally, we should note that with the Professional Plan, each screen comes with 3GB of storage per screen, while with the Business Plan, you’ll get up to 8GB of storage per screen.

Compatibility

There are three parts to a digital signage setup– software, a media player, and a screen. In terms of software and hardware compatibility with Pickcel Digital Signage, they support Android, Windows, Raspberry Pi, LG Web OS, Chrome OS, Samsung, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Mac OS, and Linux digital signage media players. For operating systems, you have the choice between Android, Windows, Linux, Samsung Tizen, LG WebOS, and many more.

Compared to some of their competitors, Pickcel Digital Signage has quite the range. Chances are, no matter what hardware you want to use, it is likely compatible with Pickcel Digital Signage and that is always a plus for meeting your needs and budget.

Teams

Pickcel Digital Signage has some features for your team to collaborate on your digital signage management. This is excellent for businesses that want more than one person to be able to help. Even with the Professional Plan, the lowest of the options, you’ll have access to user, role, and group management meaning you can add multiple users, assign them their own roles, or create groups for certain projects.

We like that they have included this on all of their plans as there are other solutions in the industry that require higher level plans to access these features.
